Unique "Sodium Bentonites"
In Classic, Original & Baby Powder versions
We're especially proud of our range of sodium bentonite. Cat litter that absorbs and eliminates odors, with extremely high clumping power and is faster than most bentonite litters on the market. A high-performance choice that won't leave you indifferent.

Dust-free
It maintains a cleaner environment, prevents allergic reactions, and does not harm the respiratory tract of either animals or humans.

Fast absorption
It clumps so quickly that droppings don't reach the bottom of the litter box, keeping it always clean.

Look at the color
It's gray in color because it hasn't undergone any chemical bleaching process. Sodium bentonite is dark in color, just like it comes from the earth, making it a 100% natural product.

Odor Control
Thanks to the antibacterial properties of sodium bentonite that neutralize odor.

Super binder
Compacts liquid or solid droppings, making it easier to remove and clean the litter box.
Arquivet Bentonite
The best cat litter
At Arquivet we only work with sodium bentonite, not calcium bentonite, as it is of higher quality. sodium bentonite, of Canadian origin, has a greater absorption capacity and forms firmer lumps. On the other hand, calcium bentonite It absorbs less and does not clump as well, so it is less effective at controlling odors and making cleaning easier.

Frequently Asked Questions
Choosing the best cat litter
What type of litter is best for my cat?
- Clumping Bentonite: Forms solid balls quickly when wet, very easy to scoop, and offers excellent odor control. Its origin is 100% natural clay.
- Clumping Tofu: for those who want a good product that's also sustainable and environmentally friendly. Tofu is 100% plant-based and biodegradable, and can be flushed down the toilet.
- Biodegradable (wood, corn, paper): they are kind to the planet and absorb less odors compared to bentonites.
- Sepiolite: This is a litter made from a very porous and absorbent natural mineral. It's non-clumping, so it requires frequent changes to keep the litter box clean.
- Silicates: These are the best known. They are synthetic and perform worse than sodium bentonite.
- Try the one you like best and see how your cat reacts.
How do I avoid a dust volcano at home?
Look for "low-dust" or "dust-free" litters and coarse-grained litters like Arquivet Original 8kg. It also helps to place the tray in a well-ventilated corner and change the litter gently.
Which one traps odors better?
We believe sodium bentonite with activated charcoal is the best option without a doubt. If you're looking for a 100% plant-based and 100% biodegradable option, try tofu sand.
Is it safe for my cat and the planet?
For feline safety, choose litter without harsh chemicals or bleach, such as Arquivet's Classic or Original Sodium Bentonite. You can also opt for litters without strong perfumes, like our talcum-scented Baby Powder Bentonite. Your cat won't clean themselves if they itch excessively. Biodegradable litters (tofu, paper, corn) decompose quickly and can even be composted. They're ideal for the environment.
How often do I need to change it and how do I clean the tray?
- Daily cleaning: scoop up the small piles (balls or "handfuls" of pee) with the scoop.
- Total cleaning: once a week for bentonite and 2-3 times if it is biodegradable vegetable sand (because it gets more humid).
When changing it, wash the tray with water and a mild soap, dry it well and start with clean sand!
